Effective immediately CP will collect railroad storage charges directly from the IMCs instead of billing RBC and RBC then having to bill back the IMCs. This will be a faster and more efficient method of settling railroad storage. If an IMC does not have credit with CP, CP's credit card form must be completed and sent to International COG prior to driver arriving at the terminal as CP’s terminals do not process any storage transactions. Select here for CP's credit card form. Listed below is CP's procedure and the link to get set up with credit.
If you do not currently have credit with CP, attached is the link to CP' credit application http://www.cpr.ca/en/customer-centre/credit-application/Pages/default.aspx.
When the credit application has been approved or if they have existing credit they can request access in Customer Station to 'Add Storage Guarantee' under REQUEST TOOLS > INTERMODAL TOOLS. Once this request has been approved by the company Central Manager it will come to the eB Support work list to set up access in CP's system.
When the user has access through Customer Station these are the steps to Guarantee Storage.
Listed below are the current CP free time/charges.
