Item 22 - Overcharge Claims

Overcharge claims must be submitted in writing and received by RBL no later than five (5) months after delivery date of shipment to allow time for processing with the rail carrier within the six (6) month limitation. All claims must contain as a minimum:

  1. Copy of original paid freight bill; and,
  2. Price authority for both the disputed and sought rate, including an explanation of the circumstances causing the claim for damages.
